I knew at a young age that reading and writing were my passion. My mother gave me a pale blue mechanical type-writer for Christmas when I was 7 years old. I was constantly writing plays, forcing my sisters to preform them for our parents, and writing X-men fan-fiction.
In high school I continued to devour Fantasy and Science Fiction. I excelled at my literacy classes and took part in writing competitions leading me to pursue a degree in English Literature at Nipissing University. I Graduated from Nipissing University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a focus on British Literature and was published in a short story anthology produced by the university. I went on to pursue my second passion and obtained a Bachelor of Education in 2008.
I moved across the pond in 2008, teaching Elementary School and English Literature in London, England. This opportunity allowed me to travel to historical and literary landmarks which had fascinated me during my studies such as: Stonehenge; Shakespearean plays at the Globe Theatre; William Shakespeare's house and final resting place; the William Wallace monument; Literary tours of Dublin Ireland; The Lourve and Notre Dame; and even learned a little Greek on a trip to Crete.
I returned home to Canada in 2010 and began working in supplemental education. I now live and work in Toronto, Ontario with my feline fur-baby Opal. When I have time to spare I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going to live comedy shows, trying new restaurants, reading, and playing video games.
